This projectile is ideal for training situations with paper targets, bottles or our Byrna training tent. It can be effective in self-defence situations, where it can temporarily immobilise an aggressor.

It is important to note that, although the Byrna Kinetic projectile is considered non-lethal, it can cause injury from the force of the impact if used at too close a range, by being fired into the eyes or any sensitive part of the body or if the target has pre-existing medical conditions. It is therefore recommended that it be used only in cases of immediate danger and after assessing the situation.

Kinetic ammunition is rarely used in self-defence, because despite the strong impact and pain felt by the assailant on his body, it is rare to achieve temporary immobilisation. This pain on the assailant can increase his aggressiveness without stopping or slowing him down, which is why law enforcement or security forces prefer to use incapacitating and irritating chemical ammunition such as the Byrna "Pepper" or "Max".

While the attacker is temporarily incapacitated, it is better to flee rather than attempt to neutralise him/her. It is important to contact the police to deal with the situation.

Hard polymer projectiles, used for training or defence purposes. The composition and density of the ball allows it to break glass or glass bottles.

These projectiles, unlike others, do not shatter on impact and can be used to delay, deter or discourage an attacker, but only chemical projectiles should be used in a defensive situation.
